Indications/Uses

Adjunctive mucolytic therapy to reduce viscosity of resp tract secretion in resp disorders associated w/ productive cough, acute & chronic bronchitis, & other resp conditions associated w/ viscous mucus production. Antidote for paracetamol overdosage.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Reduction of viscosity of secretion Adult & childn >7 yr 1 sachet (600 mg) once daily or in 3 divided doses. Antidote for paracetamol overdosage Loading dose: 140 mg/kg. Maintenance dose: 70 mg/kg every 4 hr for 17 doses. Repeat dose if patient vomits w/in 1 hr of administration.
